Introduction:

The Muslims of today seem to have forgotten that they are the blessed bunch of people as their pedigree connects them back to the finest man to have lived on the face of the earth, Prophet Muhammad sallaallaahu alayhi wasallam. The Muslims need to wake up from their slumber and be a helping hand in the improvement of our society. The Muslims have been blessed with the best text, the Glorious Qur’an, the best leader, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), the best of ancestors and the special mercy of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala and yet if the Muslims cannot revolutionize the society then it cannot be more upsetting. The Muslims need to know their tool well and also how to utilize them in times of need for an overall development. This was the main drive for organizing this seminar titled “Uthiye!!! Aap Ummat-e-Muhammadi ho”, translated in English as “Wake up!!! You are the Ummah of Muhammad (peace be upon him)”.

Seminar Setting:

The seminar was hosted by Aijaz Ahmed (M. Sc) and took place in a well-equipped auditorium. The footfall amounted to 60 people approximately from all walks of life including students, professors, businessmen, and professionals.

The inaugural speech was given by Zulfiqar, student of standard third, and the main speaker included the very founder of GPRF, Brother Iftikhar Islam. The speaker, well furnished in his field, enthralled the audience with practical experiences, day to day issues and remedies from the Glorious Qur’an and Prophetic traditions.

The feedback further confirmed the success of the seminar.

Aims & Objectives:

The seminar was structured in such a way so as to make the attendees walk through the issues being talked about with total concentration. The topics were divided into three slots each covering the three most important tools of a Muslim today, Da’wah, Education and Media. These three tools have the power to revolutionize any society at any point of time, Insha’Allah!

The audience was connected to the speaker through the speaker’s lecture, which generated public participation. The audience felt attached to the speaker as well as his words. This helped in forming a symbiotic understanding between the two.

Issues addressed:

Da’wah, Education and Media were the three main issues addressed and how can a Muslim, with the help of these instruments, help in the development of a society.

Closing Session:

The closing session enthralled the audience when the speaker left the forum open for them to ask questions. Brother Iftikhar Islam handled the entire Q&A session alone and answered challenging questions which convinced the audience.

Alhamdulillah, GPRF successfully organized the first program under its banner. The Program was a grand success (with the help of Allah alone). We pray Allah to get support from the people of Belgaum and give us enough strength to convey the message of Islam effectively.

Iftikhar Islam has delivered his presentation effectively, may Allah give him enough knowledge and take the work of Islam from him and may Allah reward him immensely.

Insha Allah, GPRF is looking forward to organize more programs alike and also invite senior Scholars and Da’ees of Islam to conduct seminars on Islam and Comparative Religions.
